Loss of contributions of about 15000 but points not lost

I had a loss of contributions of about 15000 but points are not reduced when I made some of the history deleted by mistake due to slow movement. Total contributions reduced from about 85000 to about 70000 which seemed to be a heavy loss which is too much making me bit upset as my efforts are gone… As can be

seen the answers showing only 2 instead of more than 15000. Kindly help to recover it…

Hi @jojo522

Is Auto-delete set to OFF in your settings found here? If not, please change it to OFF.

Thanks @MortenCopenhagen for the prompt and immediate response which I appreciate very much. I already made the set up accordingly. Can I get back the contributions back although the points are not reduced. Kindly advise.

I’m sorry. Not even Googlers are able to return points lost because answers were deleted.

@MortenCopenhagen @Thanks it was mistakenly deleted and hope not recoverable . Appreciate any way possible for it. How ever I don’t understand why only contributions are reduced while points are not reduced! Regards !

I believe the settings in Google Maps with respect to automatically or manually deleting answers was introduced as a response to the GDPR-regulations.

So the primary goal is to protect your privacy.

I think it makes some sense that old answers do not remain on Google Maps for ever.

But it sure is unfortunate to lose points inadvertently.
