Lord Buddha’s way to Blackish the Alms-Gathering Bowl
Location:- Alwala-Kandy Road, Matale, Sri Lanka
There are two persons at the above place who are blacking the Buddhist priest’s alms Gathering bowl in the way that the Lord Buddha have described and written in the holy book Tripitaka.
It is a very hard and long way. First of all they have to prepare the gingelly oil paste. The process is to make this paste is very hard- one bottle of gingelly oil must be reduced ti quarter a bottle by using a clay pot with a pin hole in firewood pit. Need a special oven using a large clay pot on a metal sheet. Then apply the paste on the metal as a thin layer and be baked in the oven over about 45 minutes. This process be repeated about 6-7 times. Theory is easy but when they go on this process they face so many errors and troubles. That’s why i said they must have a specially trained patient and they gained it by meditation I think.
