Hi! I’m Jerry from Taiwan and I feel honored to be a Level 7 Local guide. 
嗨！我是來自台灣的 Jerry，很榮幸能成為 7 級本地嚮導。
Have you ever wondered that actually, lots of things have become part of our life naturally or little by little, without us even realizing it. In fact, what the Local Guides program means to me is to learn " to observe and to record" things around me.
在日常生活圈中，許多事物早已「習慣成自然」，而本地嚮導計畫對我來說的意義，就是讓我對生活周遭的事物「學習觀察並且記錄下來」。
I like editing photos, and I have been exposed to photography because of the fun that I have gained from editing pictures. There was once a YouTuber on YouTube that has revealed to me the concept of “Shoot one thing and shoot it well!” For instance, during the summer holiday in 2019, I went to Kyoto, Japan with my family on our own, and because we were not on any tour, thus I have a lot of time and freedom to take as many pictures as I wanted to. During the trip, I kept thinking of what that YouTuber has said, so I tried my best to capture different things from different angles, because I know I need to shoot it well. (I’m thankful for my parents for being patient and waiting for me to take the best picture.) Besides, I like sharing information with others too. Therefore, through combining it together with my interest in photo editing and photography, I decided to share my thoughts and experiences on the comment area of Google Maps. I don’t know everyone on Google Maps, but through my photos, I thought that I could actually show people more on the other sights of the attraction. I also thought that by sharing my most sincere thoughts and experiences in the comment area can possibly provide useful advice to those in need. 
我喜歡修圖，也因為修圖的關係而接觸攝影，在YouTube上有位YouTuber給我一個觀念 「Shoot one thing and shoot it well !」 像是2019年的暑假，我與家人到日本的京都自由行，因為是自由行的關係，有很多時間可以盡情地拍照，在這過程中我不停地想起那位YouTuber講的一席話，於是在整趟旅途中不停的嘗試找角度、捕捉不同的畫面。（很感謝爸媽在拍照的過程中很有耐心的等待。）同時，我也喜歡分享資訊，與修圖、攝影的興趣結合後，就在Google Maps的評論區上留下我的想法。雖然我不認識在Google Maps上的大家，但我認為透過我的照片，可以帶領大家看見景點的其他樣貌，也認為在評論區寫下我最真誠的想法，可以給需要的人有用的建議。
Not only that, I have also made a video on our trip to Japan and shared it on YouTube. I’ve shown the video to my parents and they love it! Through this trip, I realized that I really enjoy those self guided trips. 
不只如此，我還將我們出遊旅行的片段製作成影片，並分享到YouTube，當然也有分享給我爸媽，他們表示非常喜歡！而且喜歡上了自由行！

There is another function on Google Map which is relevant to the concept of photography, and that is “Question & Answer”. For every store that I have visited, Google Maps will automatically send me a question regarding the place. I didn’t have this kind of habit before, but, nowadays, whenever I enter a store or a restaurant or if I’ve ever been to any place, I will unconsciously observe the surroundings, looking around and wondering in my head whether “Is there a public toilet here?” which is very important or whether “Is there any handicapped parking available here?” and it goes on and on with loads of questions . Later, I will have to choose between the options of “Yes” or “No” given, to carefully give my answer to the question. I believe that it is not a big deal to answer those questions, but indirectly, it actually helps others who in need. 
對我而言，在Google Maps上還有一個跟攝影有相同概念的功能，就是「問與答」，「問與答」 是藉由簡單的問題要用戶提供解答，儘管用戶只需要選擇「是」或「不是」，但這都必須仔細的觀察環境之後才能做決定。一開始並沒有這個習慣，直到每次Google Maps在我離開店家之後，對我提出問題，漸漸的，每當我進入店家，就會不自覺地開始觀察周圍，像是：「這裡是否提供公共廁所？」或是「這裡是否有無障礙停車位？」等等的問題，我相信回答這些問題只是舉手之勞，但卻可以在無形中幫助到其他人。
Whenever I receive the encouragement or feedback from Google Maps on my response, I feel that I have completed another milestone! 
對我而言，每當我看到Google Maps的鼓勵，讓我知道我又完成了一個里程碑！
The Local Guides program has trained me to develop a habit of observing people, places, and things around me. Therefore, I feel like it is our responsibility to provide more relevant and useful information to make the world a better and more convenient place as well as to connect people around this globe. I deeply believe that we can influence and even change the world around us by engaging people together through this community. It’s my honor to be a Local Guide and we surely can make the world a better place! 
因為本地嚮導計畫讓我養成習慣觀察身邊的人、事、物。我們有責任提供正確的信息，並使世界變得更加美好和便捷，我深信我們可以影響世界。 很榮幸成為一名本地嚮導，我們可以使世界變得更美好！
