So yes LOLEGAON…by name you won’t get it but as u reach closer and closer to this Small village you witness the beauty of nature…the roads may cause a bit problem but the beauty and charisma of nature dilutes all problem and difficulties. Initially u would move through the pine forest where some amount of sunlight penetrates …for car you can see clouds at the top of the mountain but would least expect that they would me parts and parcel of you for the next few days. As the car reaches the bifurcation of the road out of which one leads to LOLEGAON…u start feeling the enthusiasm…it feels as if it’s and entry to a different world. You move slowly through the bumpy road which may give you a bit shoulder and stomach ache…but then suddenly you would realize that the pine trees have grown bigger than ever and almost no sunlight is penetrating …dense clouds cover the road and if you caste a glance on the slope of the mountain u would feel you are above the clouds. With every twists and turns in the road as u move up, nature keeps some different surprises… unknown unnamed flowers increases the beauty of the road. The pine heads are invisible due to thick patches of cloud covering them. After 27kms of such hectic as well as heavenly journey you finally reach the village of lolegaon which is itself within the cloud. Tourist are regular there…during season thus they got many hotels. If u got good luck then a panaromic view of kanchenjunga will uplift your soul providing u immense peace. As eve approaches and sun sets , dense clouds starts appearing first covering the monastery then the stalls making it difficult to see within a range of 5metres. Temperature falls to 4-5 degrees centigrade and chillness welcomes you with a slight shiver. After 8.30pm there is no privilege of street electricity which makes the night walk a bit more alcoholic. Hotels will have regular electricity. The real pain is felt when you would have to return and leave the place…it would feel as if returning to the mere world from heaven.
