Loi Mwe means “Snow Mountain”, though we have only the mist not the snow, but the meaning comes out “SNOW”.
The British Military set up the second class hill station in Loi Mwe. The town of Loi Mwe Hill Station located near the park served as the British District Commissioner’s headquarters during the British colonial rule in Myanmar. Till today, some perishing colonial buildings are suggestive of the colonial era.
This house is the colonial building of the former British hill station. In the past, a British colonel lived here, whose role as district commander and used this house as summer residence.
The hills offer great trekking opportunities to the visitors. Scenic views can be enjoyed from different points. The park also has rich wildlife which attracts nature lovers.
There is also a big lake on the top of this hill station. The lake is at about 15 acres space. You can get fresh air by walking around the lake.
