Every location on Google maps has information on accessibility, card or cash, produce available, or what pictures best describes it. Well, that information has to come from someone, and that someone is us the Local Guides. I love answering questions on my contributions page, just so that other people can have a better experience when going out and about in my local community. It only get better when I’ve been out travelling and I have new and interesting places to answer questions about. My biggest regret is when I don’t know enough about the location to answer the questions well enough.
People love posting questions, and I love answering them. So I not only answer all possible questions on my contributions page, I furthermore answer every possible questions that people near me ask to a place’s Google page. It seems to be rare that the business itself answers questions, so I do my best to answer it on their behalf, in as true a manner as possible.
I’m of the belief that by doing simple acts to improve Google’s knowledge and other people’s knowledge through answering questions will ultimately further the entire development of how much information you can gain by a small Google search. Having as much possible information available by a quick search of the tip of your fingers if the ultimate dream. A lot of information is already there, but we need to improve the amount of local knowledge out there. Denmark, my home country, is not big, and it seems that the knowledge about locations here can only be improved. My goal is to do just that!
