Subway stations in Tehran have a category of “Subway station” and a blue square with letter M in white in it.
How did they choose the category? How do you choose or make the icon?
Appreciate your help.

@asaberi , Maps categories and icons used are chosen by Google but I have seen a Google Maps API that might have the icon you’re looking for. Note, I myself have not used this API and I believe that the blue represents transport icons and the white M on blue is for Metro. HTH.

Hi @asaberi
The category icons are logged to the chosen category, and not something we Local Guides can change.
Further, public transport authorities and companies can partner up with Google Maps to provide live and detailed data on arrivals and departures. This gives the transport partners greater control over how they appear on Maps.
Cheers

Thanks for your answer. How about the category “Subway station”. There’s no such category. How did they enter the category?
Thanks
