Located in another location

Hi all,

Say for instance there is a big Park that’s divided into smaller sub parks but still within the main Park. Would you list them as being located in the main Park or simply tag as a new location?

Eg. Main Park is Nelson Reserve. In that reserve is Apex Park Playground, Youth Precinct Skate Park and toilet facilities.

Thanks

Hello @Micky_T

The sub parks will have a different name tags. However, while entering the address, please select “Located within”. That will open a search box Search for the name of the main park, select that & enter.

Thanks for the reply. I can’t select memorial park in Gympie. Is that because someone claimed it?

Hello @Micky_T

Memorial park is a fundamental Map layer entity & not user-generated POI. That’s is non editable & also no available for selection in “Located within”

Hi @Micky_T ,

Thank you for reaching out. I will mark @C_T 's reply as a solution. The purpose of this feature is to help Local Guides to find answers when searching on the Connect. Please take a look at : How do I mark comments as solutions? article.

Hi there. I’m new to Local Guides Connect, but I’ve been a Google Local Guide for several years. I think I’m running in to the same issue, but I’m not sure. I tried to add things to a Wildlife Management Area and that makes sense what you said about it not being user generated. But I also just tried to add to a county park. Same issue - nothing pops up. Do I just ignore the “Located within”? Or is this something to add to the idea exchange? Would it be beneficial to see all points of interest in a directory of a WMA?

I found the easiest way to check is this.

Click on the poi. If it can’t be reviewed then it’s on a layer of maps we can’t use. This means we can’t attach other items to it.

So yes don’t do a located within.
