Hi there,
I’m a guy from Lithuania that often forgets about the places I eat. Yes, just your usual guy who, some years ago, decided to place a comment through Google Maps on a place to remember that he was there and how the food tasted and some other details.
So there I was - starting to rate food places as a reference to myself, so I would know where have I been and how good or bad the place was.
But years passed and then something magical happened… :o
I’ve noticed I could distinct more and more subtle tastes in food along with more details of the environment I’m eating at.
And this has lead me to searching and trying any place anywhere with different outcomes.
And then one day this achievement thingy began with points and goals and levels, and that felt great. I review places and my progress is rewarded…woohoo!..and now I’m some sort of local guide…? SWEET! I can share local / traditional stuff to travelers!
Fast forward to today brings us to things I adore to share.
If the place (food mostly) is a gem, but hard to find - I love to leave a review on those places. In my review I will definitely highlight why the place is a rarity. Those places are usually not in tourist locations, since those are found out easily and commented even by “Local guide but not actually local, just a local guide from another country #verylocal”.
If I need info about a place, can’t find it on Maps, but manage to find it somewhere else - I can update Maps. Absolutely love this feature. Now everyone can see the up to date info.
