Local food represents the contry’s culture. Price is also affordable and it scatters over the country. It seems to be a hidden gem for foreigner would love to have a local taste.
However, have you ever had any difficulty finding a local food to enjoy while you are traveling in foreign countries? For me, I experience this kind of problem most of the time when go outside my country. There are some barrier prevent you from tasting a local food i.e. language, how to get there and what we should order etc.
To overcome this I have some tips here. Using “Google review” feature in searching “Restaurants” in “Google map” is a good method. The criteria that I use to decide whether or not to get to that restaurants, I mostly base on the rated score of more than 4.0 and there should be numbers of reviewers (say more than 50 reviewers). I found this works for me and it lead me to enjoy local food even if I am an outlander. The food pictures uploaded from google reviewers are also the great helper. You just show the pictures when you order food, they would understand what you exactly want even if you can not understand the language in their menu.
I feel very thankful to everyone who contribute their food review via the Google. So when I became a Local Guide, I would more than happy to share my food experiences to helping others who would like to taste a local way.
