I love sharing local stories of my trips because it is a way to contribute with other travelers.
When I’m about to make a trip in or out of my country, I always use google maps to find out about routes and distances between places of my interest and thus be able to make a trip route. It has already served me for my trips to Panama, Ecuador and north of Peru.
If others do, I feel obligated to do the same to help my friends around the world.
