Local stories - my journey to level 7

Two of my favorite things in life are having a good meal (all the time, every time) and traveling. I read images of people for a living so the documentation part is just a part of my life. I feel like I was born to be a foodie really. From a young age, I’ve thrived on food. It creates such a great connection with people and most of my good memories growing up evolved around food. I do admit, growing up, eating out was a luxury. As a family of 5, this would only happen on weekends. Boy, was that day so looked forward to by me and my younger brother! Once I moved to America, i thrived on this as well. But initially, I was very tight on budget while I was trying to become a doctor again in the US. I dreamed of the day I would go to all these places i constantly walked by on my way to school. So once I finally was able to break even and save money, it was only natural that this hidden monster was going to go loose hehe! I lived in NYC and this is where I discovered local guides. With so many options with a very (by very i say 80-90hours/week at work) busy schedule, I would constantly go to this platform for advice… and as the months passed, and I had plenty of places under my belt, I thought, i think i should do this too! And here I am, with level 7 under my belt and enjoying this little voice this platform has given me in a very big world. For that, i thank you, Google.

Hi @tutieats

Thank you for sharing this with us.

This post is your Connect Live 2019 application and these application posts should have been in Local Stories. Because I do believe your post fits best into that category I am moving it there.
