Local Stories – Breakfast Pleasures

I started collaborating at Google Maps with a really annoyed and furious review about a stationery shop in Madrid. It was my first time there. I was preparing a project and my printer recommended it to me. When I got to the shop, one of its workers, an old man, treated me so so badly…I didn’t really know why… I exited the store without the paper I was looking for and, all of a sudden, I took my phone and “vomited” my words into the APP. It’s been a year since then; that review has been read almost a thousand times. Funny facts.

Buuut, I’m not that kind of angry guy every time. So here it comes the truth about the title of this post. Eating and drinking are two of my deepest pleasures. Both of them made reality by sharing great moments with friends, please! That’s what my Local Guide profile has turned into. Way much better! Isn’t it?

Vermouth is religion. But when it comes to delicious breakfasts or brunches… I allow myself to forget about spirits and focus on some nice Homemade Granola or Eggs Benedict. Quite common, maybe, surely trendy… and tasty! Trying to find the best dishes in the world could be a great challenge to achieve (and even better if I get to the people looking for some foody inspiration in their places or abroad). That’s how I got to know and taste the delicious strawberries with yogurt, great bread and perfect tortilla at Delic (Costanilla de San Andrés, 14, 28005 Madrid); the most perfect brunch at The Little Big Café (Calle de Fernández de los Ríos, 61, 28015 Madrid), succulent and really cheap considering its great quality; the super simple but perfect Spanish breakfast at Restaurante Pizzería Cervantes (Calle del León, 8, 28014 Madrid); and finally but most important, my first true breakfast love affair at Café Select (212 Lafayette St, New York, NY 10012, EE. UU.): the best Homemade Granola all over the world!!!

As Julia Child (or Julie Powell) would say… “Bon Appétit!”
