The Local Guide program means that everyone’s opinion about their home matters. It’s comforting to have the opinions about your home even if sometimes we have no idea what we’re talking about.
The world is changing faster than ever before. In Hong Kong over the past 8 months we have experienced an unprecedented period of social movement and often times people will be worried about the situation here while considering to come here or not. Social movement, political conflicts and tensions, natural disasters and now the coronavirus are bringing drastic changes quickly everyday. But we have to understand that things are always be uncertain and complex. Uncertainty makes us feel insecure and reluctant.
At the every moment, what’s better than having some opinions from the local people in the particular places? All we want is very firm answers when things are the most uncertain, ever better if they are from the local perspectives. To me the Local Guides program is being one of the driving forces to bring us a peace of mind when we are planning for our next journey ahead!
