One day I and some friends decided to visit one town of rainy Denmark. After long trip we were so tired and hungry that we decided: “No matter what, when we see the place where we can eat - we stop”. After some minutes of walking we found first restaurant in our way and we stopped to eat there.
It was some kind of Asian buffet style restaurant, really simple and cheap one. The food was really good.
We were enjoying food so much that we even haven’t spoke for a while. After some time and first plate I started to speak and my words were:
- Ok, food is really good. Look, at least they change these food boxes quite fast, but that carpet looks terrible. The waiter speaks with us! I like it, so simply, friendly and informal. And you know what? This place from outside looks not as good as it is inside, people really need to come in taste this food!
I was continuing with different kind of comments until I saw that my friend is writing something. After I asked about it answer was: - Do you know Local Guides?
- WTF? First time I hear.
- Local Guides is the application were you add these kind of comments you just said and you share with people in order to guide them and give more specific explanations and reviews about different places. By the way, once per year they are organizing a huge event where they invite best guides in order to share experience and knowledge about travelling and exploring.
I am telling you, after this answer of my friend I was so shocked. I swear, I thought it is not possible.
Wherever I go, I like to observe places, people, the way of working and communicating, details, visitors and absolutely everything. And now I have found this platform where all my comments go not only for myself and people who are with me but for millions of human beings thought entire world. And the most important it makes a difference. It helps for people to travel and explore more our beautiful World.
And here I am, after less than year, today I received this invitation to apply for Connect Live 2019. You will not believe, I was so happy and glad for that, even if I am just new here and maybe I will have to try much more times in order to take part in this event, I am extremely happy that I have possibility to try and to explore more!
