Hello everybody, I’m Stefan, your local guide from Amsterdam.
For me Google Maps has became a directory of businesses around the world where I can also read trough reviews before visiting a place and get more than just the opinion of somebody who writes a travel guide. Moreover, I’m happy that now I can also contribute by sharing my personal experience, adding new places, updating existing ones or uploading media content to enrich the platform.
I think that Google Maps are slowly but surely going to replace all the smaller platforms. I for sure already exclusively use it to locate restaurants, cafes, stores, sights to visit, both here in Amsterdam or when I’m traveling.
