I am a father of three angelic daughters, avid foodie and a enthusiastic traveller. Like over a Billion people around the world who use Google maps every month, I too rely on maps to help me navigate cities during my travels, assist me in selecting restaurants and support me in decision making with the thoughtful reviews posted by other Local guides. In 2016, I became part of this beautiful global community and started sharing reviews, photos and editing/ adding locations so that others benefit from my experience of places that I have visited. It is an incredible feeling to know that the 6500+ photos and videos added by me have been viewed 37 million+ times and the 26K+ contributions have made an impact on millions of people, it makes the sharing worthwhile.
To share ideas and organize meetups in my city Hyderabad, I created a whats App group named “Hyderabad Local guides” and our community organized 30+ meetups and I have hosted 10+ of those to learn from each others experiences, share best practices, explore new places which was educational to many of us.
Also got the opportunity to attend Local Guides Summit in 2017 where i made life long friends from over 50 countries, we keep in touch via social media and many have visited Hyderabad, India.
My Local guides journey has been about sharing ideas, experiences and feedback; Learning more about different cultures, traditions and places and making everlasting friendships spanning different continents which would not have been possible without Google Local Guides Program!
