Local Guides Program: Platform to connect, influence and be socially responsible

It was July 2019 when I received an email that I am officially part of the global community of Local Guides. I thought to myself, oh my god, can I really be one? I felt excited and challenged the first time I knew. As time went by, the experience of sharing my thoughts and places I’ve been is every bit of fun. I see the Local Guides Program as a platform to connect, influence and be socially responsible.

Connectivity and Influence: There was a time when I left a review of a resort in Cavite and people started asking me questions about my visit. I felt that through my answers, I was able to influence them or push them on their proposed family gathering or photoshoot. Glad that I was able to help them if that’s the case!

This photo is taken from on of the resort’s wonder places. It boasts different known places in the world-Statue of Liberty, Pyramid of Egypt, Athens in Greece, Merlion of Singapore, Eiffel Tower in Paris, etc.

This photo is but one of the few questions I’ve answered since my visit to the resort. The question pertains to how to get to the resort via public transportation.

Social Responsibility: The Local Guides program is a tool to help enhance a person’s social character because I witnessed it myself. It was during our trip to Bacolod when I’ve included a place in our trip which I found through Google Maps, little did we know, upon reaching the place, the Bacolod Baywalk is no longer operational. We could have saved time and visited other places. But, looking at the brighter side, I was able to recommend an edit to Google Maps and even include the same in my vlog.

This is the Bacolod Baywalk which we found to be non-operational but still on Google Maps without update.

The Local Guides program helped me widen my reach together with my Youtube journey. ?
