whenever I wat to travel anywhere that I don’t know the exact location I always use Google maps to find my way. and most of the time it works well. that does not only show the locations but also other functionalities such as Google street view and images added on locations which we searching for, a truly amazing thing to anyone searching someplace. it’s not only searching. Google gives it a smart searching through the google maps
a couple of years earlier I saw that people also sharing their experiences with images, videos, and reviews on google maps with platform calls Google local guides. I also started to add some of my images which I captured on some places I visited and what was my experience on there. after a few weeks ago I received a mail from Google with congratulating me for 100+ views for my contribution. I can’t tell how I felt that moment. I was really surprised and happy for knowing that my contribution matters for 100of peoples to explore their destinations on Google maps.it fells me proud and self-respect that means a lot for me.
from that, I started My venture on google local guides and reached level 5 with more views and likes from people.i got many pieces of information from google maps. from those who contributed to make Google maps to another level, they are Google local guides.
now it’s my turn to giving back my experiences, information towards everyone uses Google maps .because now I’m also apart of the community of Google local Guides.
I am a Sri Lankan and my country is a world-famous travel destination for people all over the world. as usual, people who love to travel here searching for destinations to visit see and experiences on Google maps. so as I think nobody can tell about Sri Lanka better than Sri Lankan (local).so it’s me, Muditha Fernando, Google Local guide from Srilanka can contribute to millions of peoples worldwide searing for information about natural beauty, culture-historical places Hidden places, fast routs correct pieces of about Sri Lanka my motherland through Google local guides. that is my social responsibility. now I have a way to give my contribution to fill my social/global responsibility towards society through Google local guides
