My name is Okan and I’m from turkey. Before I discover Local guide program, When I want to go somewhere different or when I have a guest to host. I tried to make a search for several websites. Time by time I realize that the comments on other websites don’t match with reality. Either I get upset or my guest/client is not happy with the new place. So I was trying to find something different and more reliable. After finding local guides and reading the comments I felt safe and never hesitate the visit places with objective comments when you see the commenters profile picture and past comments, it makes me feel more confident. After I visit the places and see the comments are correct and openhearted, I also want to be a local guide and help people to find the best/different places in their neighborhood. This program means warm and kind recommendations for me. I feel so safe when I find someplace with high stars or lots of comments.
The most interesting thing I have done is going to San Francisco for 3 days and experience all the fish restaurants every lunch and dinner time. It was a very nice and tasty experience for me.
