Hi I’m Lavelin. I’m a level 6 local guide live in Taiwan. What does the Local Guides program mean to me? I would say that Local guides program acts as a life catalyst for me. I was curious about everything when I was a child. From time to time, I gave up the ability to find beauties in ordinary things. Life is busy! People in my country expect you to reach certain achievements at certain age, so I have to hurry. Enjoying simple happiness in life is not an option for me.
Things changed when I started to write reviews on Google map. In order to write a review of better quality, I have to pay attention to things going around, relish the foods, and then present my experiences on Google map with words and pictures. Through all these processes, I could observe the world from different perspectives, and made it easier to find interesting things in everyday life. That’s why I think Local guides program makes my life better.
Memories, but not just memories.
Time may flies, but memories don’t. For me, Local guides program is also a place where I can preserve my memories. But it’s definitely NOT just my own emotional thoughts. You can found the views of your shared information on Google map, it shows the importance of making useful and correct contribution. I feel responsible for my comments when knowing someone would take my opinion into account before they make their own choices.
So I would say that Local guides program is a magical notebook which can both keep memories for myself and help others at the same time. So cool! That makes my life even more colorful. I can’t help but want to contribute more!
Sadly that there’re few friends around me have interests in this program. I hope to join Local guides connect live 2020 and meet people like me from all over the world. I believe it would be awesome to share experiences and learn from each other. Hope to see you guys there!
