I got an email on 8th Nov 2020 stating that I have unlocked local guides perk. I immediately redeemed the code and placed the order and now I’m waiting for it to arrive. The interesting fact is that when I got the email I was at level 5 with less than 1k points. I was expecting that I won’t be eligible for this gift until I reach level 7.
Now I feel more motivated to contribute on google maps so that I can help people moving around faster and provide them the best option available. So thanks google for showing your love to your local guides.
