Hello @BudiFXW ,

Thank you for tagging me and it is great that Indonesian Local Guides could join one of the biggest communities gathering in Indonesia.

While this is a great event to join, please make sure to not use any official Google imagery/ logos because we don’t want any misunderstanding, since this is not an event that’s officially approved by Google and or have any official Google representative.

Feel free to share your knowledge and experience about Google Maps as Local Guides and not talking on behalf of the program as we don’t want to have any miss-perception created in public.

I do not want to have misperception, miscommunication and violating Program Rules that already we have. Since the very beginning of this activities I will communicate here even a daily activities photos, so if there something can be misinterpretation I will take down or do some imediate corretive actions.

This looks like @BudiFXW this going to be a great event. Can’t wait to read your recap and see all your photos and video for it.

As @AngieYC said, you cannot say this meetup is officially sponsored by Google or use any Google or official Local Guides logos or branding in any of your materials. You can use the “Powered by Us, Local Guides” logo. I know you have your own Indonesia Local Guides branding you have used (or your fellow Local Guides who have used in the past). Also, as you have written you cannot trade writing “reviews” for sponsorships.

@NunungAfuah is a great resource for you to connect with her here since she has participated in the huge Local Guides meetups in Indonesia. Another Indonesia Local Guide is @br14n. Brian and his community put on large Local Guides meetups, including Clean the World meetups.

Cheers,

Karen

Thank you @KarenVChin for tagging me.

Hi @BudiFXW
If I may correct, this is not the first time Local Guides in Indonesia collaborate with other communities. In Malang, in 2018, Batu Local Guides was selected to be one of the featured communities in the Indonesia Community Day event along with 21 other creative communities. At that time we carried the theme “Local Guides Hunting @ ICD 2018”.

Instead of showing off items from Google that not everyone gets and can make misperceptions, I suggest that you can print community merchandise that can be displayed on the arena, such as jackets, shirts, stickers, cups, that people can order by joining the community.

Hopefully your event will be held well and successful. We can’t wait to read the recap of the event.
