I’ve been familiarising myself with the Local Guides Connect forum whenever I can get a moment.
There is sooo much to learn! It’s exciting to be able to be involved with all of you but would be even better to meet a fellow LG in person and perhaps go on a photo-walk or even test out the AR feature on Maps together.
Browsing the forums I’ve come across a couple other South Africans but nobody really in my area, until @Bren-frm-SA and @Safdarrai came along.
Any other Guides in Jozi?

Thanks for the links provided. I sometimes get a bit overwhelmed with all the information there is to take in on the forum. I’m trying to become professional with what I post and how I engage so your feedback is very important to me.
@Bren-frm-SA I’m happy to meet anywhere safe in Jozi.
I suggested Fourways because you’re nearby, at least, according to your LG profile it says you are, and @Safdarrai seems near too so that would make at least 3 of us which is a big deal in JHB since we can’t seem to find any other Guides keen hahaha.
What I think we should do is register the meetup on https://maps.google.com/localguides/meetup to make it official, that way we might get a chance to have it published as a meetup and who knows there might be one or two more local guides crawling out from their keyboards, , we can call it something like “3Ways to FourWays meetup” or something cheesy like that, hehehe
Now I haven’t been to fourways since they have done the new revamps, and like you say @LeeBee-SA we can walk
about and see if there are any new business or shops we can add to maps etc, grab a munchie while we at it and see if we can get some more SA guides involved.
I think whats next is to pick a date that all suites us, I work for myself so weekdays and weekends are flexible unless I have a deadline.
I think during the day maybe… say 10am onwards, how does that fit in with you guys @LeeBee-SA@Safdarrai
Hi @Bren-frm-SA yes have to register first on connect to make it official meet ups as par confirmed from date by us . I work for other that’s why I need to take off from work and I need to confirm before I go off from work.
