Local Guides means Helping and Sharing!

A friend describes the wild world of social media as the “me’s” and the “we’s.” What does that mean? The “me’s” are in search of inflating their own egos. It’s about the likes and follower counts.

The “we’s” are there to share. They share their stories and experiences in hopes of inspiring others.

Unfortunately, a lot of platforms cater to the “me’s.” I find the Local Guide program to be different. It is truly about sharing. Sharing for the sake of helping businesses expand their own reach. Sharing for the sake of ensuring travelers (or local micro-adventurers) have a great time.

These conversations allow you to find the out of the way locations, new places, or the wacky and weird. They enhance travelers’ experience with their own virtual travel agents waiting in their phones.

Whether it has been amazing out of the way hiking trails, strange money-covered bars that El Chapo frequented, local brews or great coffee, Local Guides has provided countless hours of adventure for me. I hope my posts have done the same for others!
