For a few years now, I have traveled all over the United States and the world sharing the pictures of the places I have been on Google Maps.
My favorite thing to post pictures of is food. Food is one of the few things my family bonds over. I love documenting the amazing foods I eat because it reminds me of the great times we have together. The reason for this is because I can’t make a decision for my life. I can’t count the number of times that I have gotten in an argument with my family about what to eat for lunch or dinner on my hands and toes. Indecision is one of the things that I struggle with the most. This is especially true when it comes to food. However, the one thing that always helps me make a decision is seeing a picture of how good the food looks.
Most of the time, restaurants do not have pictures of their food on their menu or website. This is how I found local guides. Seeing the reviews and pictures of amazing food others have taken has drawn me into wonderful restaurants that I now can’t picture my life without. Because I was grateful for getting help from other people, I wanted to be able to share with people the great restaurants and meals I have had the opportunity to try. Here are some of the photos that I have posted to Google Maps via the local guides platform. My photos have now been viewed over 8.3 million times.
To me, Local guides means getting help from others on where I can have my next family meal, as well as helping others who are stuck in the same boat. Sometimes all it takes is a picture to get your tummy grumbling and you know where you want to go eat.
