Hey @mitielemk , we encourage Local Guides to organise meet-ups! We always tell Local Guides that the turn out does not matter; as long as you have fun and find the session meaningful. Check out How to Organize a Local Guides Meet-Up and What are your tips for first-time meet-up hosts for tips from the Local Guides team and fellow experienced meet-up hosts. 
I know there is a Picnic in The Central Park coming up really soon. Perhaps attending this one could give you a better idea of how things work!
