I started like many people, uploading auto tagged photos to google maps. As time went on, local guides helped me become more present. While photographing a restaurant or food is secondary to my experience, I still take a moment when I am somewhere to try and take good photos, and to appreciate what I have. Instead of being taken out of my experience I think I am more aware of it, and also remember it better. I also have learned to connect with local business owners to help make their business more well known, and try to write reviews for places that I love really carefully, so that more people can enjoy the same experiences I do. I love when my photos have lots of views, and am excited for my next steps.
