Life really works in mysterious ways! My work life has been crazy busy as a percussion instructor this semester, and I haven’t been able to explorer Kansas City as much. Like clockwork, I received an email from a local newspaper reporter from the Kansas City Metro. My first I thought was, this has to be a spam message; we continued chatting and scheduled an interview a few days later. I had the opportunity to discuss my social media outlet, local guiding, and its effects on my life, along with spreading the word to my city!!! Thank you for all those local guides out there and more specifically my new LG friends ( @SP31 , @Kwiksatik , @UtahTrailGirl , @JordanSB , @Linnea , @cbrandtwright , @PaulPavlinovich and others) for all the love and support!
Congratulations @lakeoftea ! The BBQ King!!

You’re a local hero.
You deserve it so much, you’re the best!
This is what I love to see - major props to you, @lakeoftea ! I know things can get busy in life but its great to see that you always find an opportunity to contribute when you can. This is much deserved on your part and I’m so glad that you were featured for your passion in music and the Local Guides program! Proud of you, bro!
I can’t think of anyone who deserves the good press more, @lakeoftea !
We all have busy lives and do what we can. You seem to have a ton on your plate and still contribute. Proud of you! Also, that coffee shop looks awesome behind you!
Well done! (And of course I love the marching/percussion angle).
