I think the best way to find local guides in your locality is either you use the new connect feature which allows you follow post from your favorite location then you put your locality or click on contributor’s profile with badge of any location around you then reach out to them.

It’s really a great idea to connect the local guides from your city, you can search Local Guides Community from your city by Search option of connect.
If you are interested to host or join a Meetup, you can post a Virtual meetup on Connect’s Meet-up Site or search Virtual meetups here by clicking on it. After meetup, for more information, you can also check out here: How do I write a great meet-up recap?.

I stumbled on this old thread just by chance @SholaIB, and it resonates with me. I’ve struggled for a long time to discover who else is active in my country. I don’t need to meet them, but my desire is to see a few other names in my space on the Country Leaderboards by @AdamGT.

This thread is my first post on connect. It is that simple straight and sweet !!! I got connected alright but I soon found the way and just plodded on.
Not many Africans are active here,so I found new friends and local guides. Nevertheless I love to have physical meet-up with local guides in my locality and I do that all the time really.
