I never see many Meet-ups in London so I just want to find out how many people are based here?!
I’d be so up for hosting meet-ups!!

Hi, I am just north of London - I don’t notice much going on around here either! I would make a meet-up if I was not working - I am a wedding photographer so booked most weekends!

Hi there,
I was browsing the local guide and notice the lack of activity from local guide in London.
But I am still pretty new to this so would rather attend one to get the feel of how it is done before actually hosting one.

London is oddly quiet for meetups, i’d be keen to attend one! i’m in SW London if that’s any consolation.

Hi I’m in South East London and your right there are none. Typical Londoners I suppose. I bet you weren’t born here? I am from Derby but lived here for 15 years now. It would be great to meet other Guides let me know when.

As I’ve already had 4 great responses I’ve been inspired to plan a meetup so just want to know what days are best for you as Josie has said she cannot do weekends?

Thanks KS for your response, so glad I’m not the only one finding London too quiet! Based on the responses I’ve had I’m keen on hosting a meetup, I know you said weekends are off limits but what other days/evenings are good for you?
As someone who has been to quite a few London meetups in the past, I think part of the problem is quite how busy London is! It’s hard to find reasons to organise things especially for Local Guides. But I’ve organised some in the past, and there are groups of active LGs, so let’s definitely get some meetups happening again.
I work in helping adults to Play, so I’m thinking of starting a meetup series to visit various grown-up play activities - crazy golf, circus, ball-pools, etc. We need to get these reviewed and photographed!

We used to try and do meet ups once every month or so but the ‘core’ grew of LG’ers from that time have either stopped taking part or got really busy.
I was speaking to one of the CM’s last week about doing a gin tour or gin tasting experience. We’ll also do our Christmas Dishoom feast if people are still interested!
I’ve been looking on here for a little while now and have always been a bit surprised by the lack of activity in London, happily just realised today that making an account on here narrows down the topics on my page to just London ones.
I’d definitely be interested in attending a meet, or even hosting one if I can think of something cool to do. Would there be anyone interested in a photo walk if I can put something together with a bit of an interest rather than just a sequence of pretty landmarks?
I’ve been thinking of organising an East London street art photo walk as one of my ‘play’ activities. Would people enjoy that? Though right now might be the season for indoor meet-ups!
