When I travel through my city, San Diego, I now look at it through the lens of a Local Guide. I’ve lived in San Diego, on and off, since the 80’s and I know it quite well. It’s a comfortable place that’s always changing and often has many visitors from other places. There are some tried and true locales … but San Diego seems to be constantly reinventing itself. We’ve got a great brewing scene and a good number of distilleries nearby as well. There are estuaries, beaches, and kayaking opportunities for outdoor folx. Plenty of shopping options for the consumers. Nightlife and theater options downtown and in the Gaslamp District. Balboa Park, known as the jewel of the city, has a plethora of museums, the zoo, and the Old Globe Theatre.
Being a Local Guide enables me to share about my city and tell folx about places I like and have enjoyed. Also, with the LG community looking at accessibility I’m always looking at doorway widths, ramps, gender-neutral facilities and other aspects that make a place more available to more people.
