Before Local Guides I found myself in a rut. I’d been going to so many places and had taken so many photos, but there was one problem. Who would I share these amazing adventures with? How could I help people have great adventures just like me? Well one day something so negative turned into one of the most positive moments of my life. I was running errands with my mother and we were starving. We were willing to go to the nearest food place we could find. We came across a new spot that happened to say open. We decided to go in. A man working greeted us as he continued to clean. The chef and possible owner of the establishment starts yelling at my mother and I and kicked us out. His excuse was that they were closed. After the incident I went straight to Google Maps to write my first review. After the review was submitted I had mixed emotions. I thought maybe people would hate me telling my bad experience. A few moments later I get a message thanking me for submitting what they felt was important information for future reference. That message change my perspective on everything. Since then anywhere I go I give my complete and honest opinion because there is always someone who can really use the help. Haven’t we all went somewhere and had a bad experience? Didn’t we all wish it was someone to tell because who deserves to have a bad time? That is what Local Guides does for me. Thank you so much
for the platform.
