I learnt about Maps when I decided to pay attention to the Maps Notification that was always telling me to add photos. It was a game for me and I was glad to always get points. Later I met a friend who told me what it was all about and I realized the game was actually doing something useful; helping people navigate, get their businesses seen and improve accessibility and service.
One of the things I consider important and love doing is ensuring that contacts listed on maps are working. I suggest edits because on maps when you want to inquire about a place, good and working contacts are important. Mostly for places like pharmacies & Hospitals.
To this day: I love adding places and photos and most importantly answering questions and the writing reviews. I make time to go on photo walks above all else since it’s the only time I get to be around amazing strangers and familiar faces to do the good work - To play.
