Hey Guides!
Where to start? What I love most about being a local guide is informing a modification on the map, as simple as it sounds. And mostly how maps even gives its guides the possibility of doing so.
It’s not a slow, static, or heavy app but rather a dynamic live map which has becomed on the past years a huge community. Actually if you think about it, makes a lot of sense. Maps are constantly changing and google maps allows you to see that change through their local guides almost in real time! Moreover, I don’t go to a new place before searching it first on gmaps and if it’s not there I add it. How cool is that?
I find frustrating when I get to a place and it’s closed or not even there anymore. For me, giving Google maps users the possibility to avoid this bad experience and eventually making the most out of their time it’s something that keeps me motivated!
I love meeting new places and for me having direct contact with people’s opinions sort of allows me to travel to those places for a second, make up an idea of what they are like and eventually comparing them and deciding where I finally want to go, before even putting a foot on the street. After visiting a place, I try to nourish other guides opinions by giving my point of view, while writing my opinion.
See you soon!
