Local Guides Connect post - Helping people and businesses to grow

I still remember writing one my first reviews on Google because I was frustrated about an incident that took place when we went out to a bar in Hyderabad, India. Someone had misbehaved with a friend of mine inappropriately and neither the owners nor bouncers were owning up to help us out in a situation like that. I remember being super frustrated about it and not knowing what to do, I always resort to social media but I wanted this to be more powerful, for people to not face this anymore. That is when I posted one of my first negative reviews on Google Maps, and noticed that there were so many other people who also faced the same situation as me. The post then started being liked by a lot of people and became one of the most helpful reviews. This made me feel nice, safe, and felt like I did a good deed and helped mark a space that wasn’t safe for women.

I’m selfless, I like helping people, I like giving back to the society and Google Reviews gave me all of that and made things so much easier for people. I’m also a person who LOVES visiting new places, I also feel that there is so much to see in this world that I don’t want to go to a place twice and want to constantly cover a new place. I’m a sucker for places with good aesthetics and never forget to capture anything pretty around me. I would always click pictures of pretty corners, well-plated food but all that would just lie in my gallery and with Google reviews, it helps so many more people view and understand what each place has to offer. When I go to a restaurant or a place, the first thing I look at is the review and what people have liked and I think that’s pretty much what the world relies on right now. To me, the local guides programs means to help people make easier choices, to help people stay safe and to help businesses grow.
