This is the doubt among many guiders as well google map user that why i should help google?
If I help and contribute in map then it’s just google works which i do with free of cost and google makes money from my work??
Yes,it’s logical but irrelevant
The Google map is an initiative and we should respect and believe toward its social help which solve or path and other map problem with easy way.
And it’s very complicated that google use its own paid workers to collect all data regarding to map ,So we the part of society need to modify map and spend only few minutes in contribution no a big deal.
So in my point of view it’s incredible way to help society and makes google map more strong with data regarding to Garden,Mountain,Path,Stores,Food& culture ,etc.
Hope you enjoy google map and im very glad to part of this family.

Let’s reverse the question. Why do you use Google Maps?
To navigate?
To find places?
To see the selfies of your friends
In my case the answers are the point one and two. What about you?
If you agree with me, please read: What photos should I share on Google Maps? and please update your contributions, removing the ones that are not following the shared indication.

You have asked a pertinent question.
My views are as below
You have selected a self-deprecating name for posting on connect. Any specific reason for that? Nevertheless, that makes your intentions questionable at least in the minds of the regional readers.
The maps app is not the routine social media platform.
Users are creating places and then sharing their experiences at that for the benefit of prospective travellers, and that is an entirely voluntary activity.
I used to get a “Fish out of water” feeling after landing at a remote place. Now equipped with user reviews, I explore new places like an expert.
Sure, you can also get that through a web search. However, the Maps app is serving you that on a platter!
But remember the core function of the app is to depict a Map and then navigate to your places of interest and that is available to everyone on purchase of a device, without any additional charges.
Thanks ,but in my small village people doesn’t want to help because he says it’s just help of google and also not in my village but i think many people have doubt but in bottom paragraph i already concern about how this help us.
