You, being a Local Guide is a great job! And the magic of it? It all depends on you and your willingness to make people’s lives easier.
Well, what I like most about being a Local Guide on Google Maps is helping others. And especially small business who do not understand the importance of being VISIBLE on Google Maps. It is truly rewarding to be able to either help create, help modify and adapt a profile or teach a small business owner about the power of Google Maps. From adapting the right opening hours, to adding photos, and the best: CHANGE THE LOCATION PIN.
How stressful and annoying is it to look for a place and never find it because you’re at the right spot, but… you’re actually not! This is a field, not a hair salon, come on Google Maps. Well, that is now easy to change this and Google makes it always faster to validate when you’re becoming an experienced Local Guide.
I’m really proud of having helped quite a few business owners with their pages and profiles, to take time to leave long reviews and add photos on the spots I visit and like. And even more about spots I really don’t like: I strongly believe that until owners see bad comments on their profile, will they not change anything!
