Before Local Guide visiting a restaurant meant going there to eat with friends or family. Going to a hairdresser meant getting my hair cut. But now, where ever I go I’ll be looking forward o check out the place place and take note on things like, how creative the menu in this cafe can be. Or what are other services that this hairdresser have comparing to other places that I have been too.
It will be a topic to be discussed with my husband (he is by the way really supportive with me being Local Guide
). Like “how wonderful that this restaurant give free meals to kids and so on.” And sometimes after a good visit to a place, he will remind me to write a review so that other people will know about it.
I don’t get money being a Local Guide, but knowing that I help other people with my reviews and pictures really mean a lot to me. Knowing what I wrote might help a new local business to get the words out about how good is their service really mean a lot to me. Helping some local businesses to improve their business really mean a lot to me.
So Local Guide program means a lot to me and my family. I can actually make a difference simply by writing a review, posting pictures, editing information on the maps. Don’t even cost me anything.
