Local Guide Summit 2019

The thing I enjoy most about being a local guide is giving people information about a place they may be thinking of visiting. I make sure to provide an honest opinion, pictures, and information about cleanliness and service times. I will post pictures of menus, food items, views from a restaurant or local business. I try to make sure I give the owner of a local business a reason to like or dislike my review and let them respond however they wish to. I read what other guides say (or don’t say) with their reviews, I model my reviews after things I would want to know and d my best not to give superficial reviews with limited information. I want people to know if the bathrooms are clean and well-stocked. I want them to know if the service was fast and courteous. Location matter too, if parking is available, the area of a city or town the location is in. All of these things matter. Life is about the details, local businesses need to pay closer attention to them as a negative review can harm business. I do my best not to give a bad review unless a place really earns it and won’t give a great review for the same reason. Both types have to be earned.
