Recently my friend, he is also a local guide, it is like level 4but he got the gift shocks…but I’m in level 6 as per the contribution and as per the local guide…but I never received anything at anything…so how the local guide work…so it is regardless of contribution or it is just a lucky draw…prove me wrong

The Local Guides program is constantly evolving and perks may be offered from time to time. To maximize your chances of being eligible for a future perk opportunity, continue to add high quality contributions to Google Maps. Please also be sure that your email preferences have perks emails enabled by visiting your Local Guides settings.
Keep in mind, Local Guides is a voluntary program and many people participate in it because they want to be able to help others via the Google Maps platform. You can read more - “Why be a Local Guide?”

When I studied profiles of several top contributors, I noted that the quantum rarely exceeds one per thousand views.
Trust, the cleanup of all these abnormalities would help in increasing the chances of getting offers for perks.
It’s been very discouraging and demotivating that the organisation of Google local guide…I am a level 6 local guide and I almost reached level 7 but yet I not received my google local guide shocks…but my friend who is having less contribution and preaks has recently got the shocks…I don’t know what to expect…i hope that I will soon get a positive mail for it…

My personal perk is a good navigation system, an email address and a whole set of productivity online programs for free.
What I mean is that we don’t contribute for perks.
Perks are offered to Local Guides from time to time as a thank you for contributing great content on Google Maps. You may receive a perk because you’ve consistently shared high-quality contributions, reached a certain level, or often review a category related to a perk. Perks may be offered to Local Guides in particular regions. To see where you are signed up for Local Guides, please visit your Local Guides settings.

On that, Google moderator explained in detail how the offer for perk works. Trust, you must have taken actions on that.
Also, in reply, I mentioned that many of your reviews & photos are now private. Have you identified the objectionable content in your contributions? Though that may not affect eligibility for perks, nevertheless, that’s not a good sign.
