When I received word that I earned a reward from Google Maps, I was quite giddy. Volunteering to keep a map up to date for others is something I don’t have to do. It’s something I want to do.
It’s not only about store hours and addresses. It’s my way of helping other businesses attract other customers. And as I small business owner myself, I get it.
The days that I wear my pin loud and proud I feel extra special. It’s similar to belonging to a secret society that’s not so secret. And yes, I do try to encourage others to join.
