I am Engineer Surya from Odisha, India.

I am eager to know that when the nominations for Local Guide 2023 will start???

Criteria to enter into Local Guide Stars?

Keypoints to enter?

As a Local Guide Level:9, I want to know that the Nomination Procedures?

The form for nominating Local Guides is here and it is open, so feel free to use it. You can find the link at the bottom of all pages here on Connect.

Keep in mind, the Googles might ask you to remove the Google Maps logo pin in your image, since we always need written permission to use it.

Hello @EngineerSurya31

I see you got some answer already from a fellow guiding star 2022.

Now from my experience as a current guiding star,there is no clear cut criteria for nomination of guiding stars.

Nevertheless one key thing is, quality contributions above and beyond what’s expected of a normal local guide

Perhaps I can also say dedication to connect as a forum and to Google maps. Try those starting now and you’ll be sure to be nominated a guiding stars come 2024 !!!

Hi @EngineerSurya31 hello, only google moderators know the criteria about this. Therefore, it is impossible for us to say any criteria. But if you want to be close to this, you can come to the fore by making efficient and beneficial cooperation on behalf of humanity.:smiling_face: :+1:t2:

Regarding selection criteria

I suggest you study the presentations of previous Guiding stars to learn how they contribute. They have been active and contributed in many special ways. I don’t think you should copy what they are doing, but use it as inspiration to decide how you can make a difference on Connect, on Google Maps, and help fellow Local Guides in new ways. You can also watch the Guiding start video presentations to find inspiration.

Much of my inspiration comes from being very active on Google Maps, where I share photos and make edits, as well as from watching what problems fellow Local Guides seek assistance with on Connect.

You need to identify relevant needs, study and then be helpful and inspirational.
