Local guide is mean to me as service of community because whenever you are sharing your views with others it’s like a help as per you already experience that place . I have been using google maps from many years now. While using Maps, I soon realized that how helpful it is to the users specially country like India where streets and roads are not that planned, be it the numbering method or be it the layouts. Finding places, if you don’t know the place is quite a challenge I would say. Google maps has been a great help in these regards. It is not only help you to pin point your place it also guide you to the place. The role of local guides becomes more important in country like India and if you add photos and videos with reviews can only make life more easier. The more I used google maps the more I realized this. I think in a way I am giving back to the community by being a local guide. It gives me immense pleasure when I seen the users are using and depending on my reviews, and thousands of view of my photos also give me a sense of satisfaction and wants me to contribute more. I like to serve our people to know various places like Hotels, Restaurants, shopping points, shops and what are special there , what kind of facilities they are providing, some times how cheap and expensive places are. So I thanking Google to give opportunity to local guides all over the globe . Thanks.

Hi @Varinder_Singh33 , since there’s still time for the application, I really suggest you to read carefully at this Guideline again of how to make a good application post, which the post must be 300 words minimum and it should be under “Local Stories” topic, not Travel. Wish you luck!
