Local Guide: Make The World is better

Hi. I’m Apichat Jetawatana from Thailand. I’m very excited when I saw an email from Google Map. I Joined Local guide for a long time. The first time I just want to share my travel photos, give a comment and review. Around 1 month, I got email show many peoples view my photos. I’m very happy. I can help people to travel, shopping, finding a supermarket, temple, ATM, Cafe etc It’s very useful!

so After that, I more share photos, comments, give a review to Google Maps.sometimes my friend said why I always share photos, It’s wasting time. but I said I want to help other people. sharing my travel experience. I want to make this world is better.

When I was 30 years old. It was my 1st trip to backpack alone. I never fly before. So I was excited, confuse. At that time. Internet was not good. I still used a feature phone. I had to take note in my book.write. take a short note, print information about tourism places. read many websites. It was difficult.

Now I joined Local Guide. I so proud because I can help other peoples by sharing my photos, give a comment

And I use Google Maps for planning my travel itinerary many times, too. It makes me save more time, save more money

My Tips

I like to travel in the adventure style. I don’t rent a Pocket wife or Roaming mobile for saving money

  1. I save offline Map into Google Map

  2. I screen capture or save pictures for Tourism places

  3. A local restaurant is a good place for learning local culture.

  4. Mostly you can find tourism maps at the Train station.sometimes It have a discount coupon.

  5. I recommend to use Google Translate , You can download Language pack for using offline.

Thank you very much to other local guides who share your travel experience, share your photos. give comments. I promise I very appreciate and promise to give my travel experience forward to other people. Make The world is better.

Hi @ApichatJetawatta

I just wanted to let you know that I have removed the Thai language tag of your post as it’s written in English. These types of labels are used so that posts in different languages can be found more easily by Local Guides who are speakers of these languages. You can learn more about language tags in the article: How do I find posts in my preferred language?.
