Local guide level and points are different to my Local Guide Connect

My Local Guide Connect account linked with the same email-id shows Level 5 with 1497 points

But

My points on Google Map as Local Guide is showing 1504 as Level 6.

Please guide me why? Do I need to do anything regarding this?

Thanks for reaching out. We are 120 million local guides and all the data behind Google Maps are spread over very many different servers in order to ensure all the users experience no delays when they use Google maps. The proces to synchronize all this data between all those servers takes some time. Usually we have to wait upto 24 hours before any edit/change will be spread onto all the servers.

This can explain the small differences you saw in points on your account. The two sets of statistics could simply be drawn from two different servers without us knowing.

So there is nothing to worry about. Just give it some time and accept there will always be small differences - also because points for edits are only credited after approval which can some times can take days or weeks.
