Since before Christmas, my new reviews don’t get published and I get a red label next to my review that says “Not published” - I also received an email saying that my account was suspicious of non-human activity! I am human! I even took pictures with my phone of places I’ve been and posted them but no luck. I don’t understand what’s happening. Obviously not only do the Google Map filters suck, but also your forums seems to be maintained by the same useless developers
@YESTom : What you experience happens to many high level Local Guides, but Google doesn’t care. They are like: “Oh you contributed hundreds of hours making pictures and wirting reviews for free? Fuck you! You got banned!!”
This problem persists for several months now and there is not a single reaction from Google on this topic. Google wants you to use other rating platforms like Yelp, Tripadvisor, etc.
I would like to share a gentle reminder that one of the five core values of Connect is being thoughtful and considerate of our words and actions. We would like to encourage you to keep a respectful tone when communicating on Connect, as failure to do so may result in your removal from the forum.
I think you are right to say that but I also understand the frustration that @PetrusMaximus is expressing. I wouldn’t use the same language and tone than him but I share the same frustration if he is right.
I did spent a HUGE amount of hours taking pictures, video and writing review for the last 6 years. If Google tells me tomorrow that my account is banned, I won’t be happy.
As a moderator, do you know a solution for my problem? Do you know what I should do to remove the “flag” on my account?
respect is a mutual thing. If you censor my content and don’t find it even necessary to inform me about that, then after hundrets of pictures taken and thousands of words wiritten you shadow ban my account, that is a huge lack of respect. Do not expect me to show you respect when you and your company fail terribly at showing me respect. Like I said, it is a mutual thing.
Feel free to remove me from this usless plattform.
