Happy New Year 2022 for all of us, I hope the world will be better, specially about Covid-19.
I’m a Google Map users since long time ago. Most of time I used it for searching a place and guide me for directions. Recently I feel that Google Map provide me beyond the direction, review from users are very useful to find and visit certain place like restaurant, hotels, and other destination. Since then, I’m thinking of to become one of contributor who can help/ assist other when using Google Map.
After reading pro and cons about google map contribution point, I think as new local guide contributor, I should think beyond giving review to a place. I think i should have one or more value for other users.
If you are local Indonesia, what do you think should I make review focus to help local people (society), local business or other?
If you are foreigner, what do you think lack of in Indonesia Google Map review which can help you when travel to Indonesia?
I hope Local Guide master, can give advise to me which just newbie in Local Guide.

First of all, welcome to Connect. There’s no Local Guides Masters here since we’re not Metallica.
If you want to learn how to write great reviews, maybe you could read about that here: Tips for Writing Great Reviews .
For example write an insightful and informative review, authentic, and write in style. Every contributor’s writing style, imho, is different.
Maybe you want to include prices, accessibility facility, toilet cleanliness, what so called prokes, storefront, etc., it’s up to you, as long as that follow, for example, Maps Users Contributed Content Policy . That what makes every contributor’s review unique. No need to be other person.
For how to properly write reviews for local business, maybe the Local Business Champion Guiding Stars 2021 , @putrisetyo , could give the best tips.

Baik menurut pengalaman saya pribadi yang suka diam diam mengamati hingga alhamdulillah terpilihlah saya sebagai guiding stars 2021. Dari hasil pengamatan, saya mendapat beberapa kesimpulan dan menemukan jawaban wkwkw
pertama,
kakak cukup perlu menjadi diri kakak sendiri, boleh melihat cara orang lain mereview but jadikan itu hanya sebagai referensi. Dengan begitu kakak memiliki ciri khas yang membedakan dari sekian banyak local guide yang ada. Ada local guide yang lebih suka menulis review dengan bercerita pengalamannya sehingga tulisan yang terposting berupa narasi. Ada yang menulis dengan menggelompokkan (Pelayanan, Kebersihan, Harga … dsb) kakak tinggal pilih mana yang membuat kakak nyaman, jangan sampai kita meniru orang lain supaya bisa dapat apa yang orang lain dapat karena pasti ada suatu waktu kakak akan berhenti jadi local guide karena merasa lelah:))
so, jadilah local guide sesuai style kakak dg begitu orang-orang pun akan merasakan aura positif kakak dalam membantu orang lain

Based on my personal opinion I think being a local guides just be confident for doing what you love.Everyone have their unique personally or passion that’s why local guides very rich of diversity because from different perspective.Of course be helpful and respect for each other is priority.
