Local Guide Connect Live 2018 (LG 2018)

I’m an architect and a high school principal, and Iive in Buenos Aires, Argentina. As far as I can remember I’ve always loved wandering around town and traveling around the world. Also, working in a school gave me the opportunity to visit many unique spots.

Have you ever been to the National Library, in Buenos Aires? Perhaps you have, but have you taken pictures from the rooftop?

Have you been to the Casa Rosada? Have you standed in the mythical balcony? Well, I have, and I have shared those pictures where so many meaningful political events took place.

I wanted to show these sights not only to my family, but also to my students and the community. I wanted to let them see what caught my attention- the architecture, the colors, lights, shadows, textures- and tried to make them feel what those places made me feel: coziness, flavors of tasteful dishes and people’s warmth, to name a few. Sharing my experience in those inviting and breathtaking places became a part of my family’s daily life so much that they even started waiting for me to take pictures of the sites we visit together and the dishes we are about to enjoy.

In that way, I am grateful of being a part of this community Google put together. The meeting they organized for Local Guides in Buenos Aires really boosted this activity for me. It encouraged me to continue taking pictures and got to know people who perceive the world the way I do.

I would love to meet Local Guides from all over the world and enjoy sharing experiences with others in the next Local Guides summit 2018.
