I love exposing the local religious and cultural buildings and posting them on Google Maps. It lets other people see stunning artwork built on thousands of years of tradition. I find the historical reasons alone to be a good enough reason to focus on these buildings. For example, many buildings in local buildings in India were in danger for destruction on the whim of colonizers in the same of erasing one’s past and history in favor of a new identity as a colony. As a result of policies like these, many traditional Indian sports and martial arts were wiped out. I feel an attraction to these buildings that have remained and like they deserve to be published out in the world.
